The Clinton Department of Public Safety and state law enforcement agencies are investigating a weekend incident that resulted in the death of one person.
Officials were called to the scene in Clinton on the evening of June 29. Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols reported that the victim was 19-year-old **********l, of 702 Chestnut Street in Clinton.
Nichols later stated that the death was ruled a homicide due to asphyxiation by strangulation at approximately 12:02 a.m. on June 30.
The Clinton DPS is now seeking the public’s help in the investigation. Director Robin Morse said officers responded to a call shortly after 11 p.m. at 502 Calvert Avenue; there they found Asbill in cardiac arrest.
“She was transported to the Laurens County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy has revealed that the victim died of asphyxiation due to strangulation,” Morse added.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office and SLED are conducting a joint investigation into Asbill’s death along with the Clinton DPS.
“We are interviewing witnesses and anyone who was with her last night to determine what happened,” Morse said.
Anyone with any information should call Crimestoppers at 68-CRIME or (864) 833-7512.
What reason could God have had in this as this person falsely alleges of God?Here is what some well meaning miss-informed person wrote:
Dear ...,
We cannot begin to understand what you are going through during this time of loss in the tragic death of **********. Sometimes it is not for us to understand, but to just trust in a loving God that has a reason for bringing us to these times. All we can do is pray that He will wrap His loving arms around you and give you peace and comfort. If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it....one day at a time. Love to you all.

There is no way that God was in control of this terrible death.
It is this kind of doubt and unbelief that causes people to NOT want to serve God.
Can you imagine someone telling the parents of this precious young lady that "God was in Control?"
Maybe an issue such as this will give Ed a chance to rethink his theology.
