Re: Luke
The first 2 chapters of Luke for instance are very precise in their telling by Luke who was not there , but Mary was and the bible states that she did not understand all that was said or happened but she kept it in her heart, so she could have related all this information to Luke.
Plus the fact that the Apostle John was there as well with his wealth of experiences with Jesus's 3 plus years of ministry.
Re: Luke
Luke probably learned it from all of them who were in Christ.macca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 10:58 pmThe first 2 chapters of Luke for instance are very precise in their telling by Luke who was not there , but Mary was and the bible states that she did not understand all that was said or happened but she kept it in her heart, so she could have related all this information to Luke.

Only Mary had that knowledge

His brothers also had that early knowledge concerning Jesus.

I will stick with Luke getting the exact information he needed for his Gospel and his history of the early Church of Jesus Christ.
Mary's memories were first hand, as was the Apostle John's.
What is your concern about Mary ?

John's knowledge of Jesus' birth ere not first hand.macca wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 3:35 amHill Top wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 1:30 pmWhy do you think that ?macca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 7:09 amHill Top wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 3:29 pmLuke probably learned it from all of them who were in Christ.macca wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 10:58 pmThe first 2 chapters of Luke for instance are very precise in their telling by Luke who was not there , but Mary was and the bible states that she did not understand all that was said or happened but she kept it in her heart, so she could have related all this information to Luke.

No concern, really. What is your concern about Mary ?
I'm sure she could have filled in the blanks of Jesus' back-story.
I just don't want to make some big deal about it.
If it goes too far, it becomes Mary worship; which is idolatry.
