No, the soul is not physical. Only the body is. The soul and spirit are distinct from the body, as can be seen in 1 Thess. 5.23 and other passages. The soul and spirit are the "inner man" Paul speaks of in Ephesians and the "hidden man of the heart" that Peter writes about in 1 Peter.royplumber wrote:your spirit is not physical your soul is

I understand that the soul is the bridge from the spirit to natural
neuro surgeons would dis agree with you
the soul It is the bridge from spirit to body i know it says your soul will be saved but your thinking becomes a part of you when you replay it over and over like i said long term short term which is cal neuro plasticity so its physical
Re: Who Destroys Body and Soul in Hell?
I really don't care what neurosurgeons think. I care what God says. Since He created the soul, what He says about it trumps what even the most educated neurosurgeon might say . . . after all, they really have no clues as to what the soul of man is. They can only speak to the mechanics of the brain and nervous system -- physical components only.royplumber wrote:Them scriptures do not prove that soul is not physicaltitus213 wrote:No, the soul is not physical. I encourage you to examine those scriptures again, and many, many more I could show you. They absolutely prove the soul is not physical. In fact, the story of man's creation proves it right in Genesis 2. The Lord formed the man physically from the dust of the earth. But the soul of man came directly as a result of God breathing into him the breath of life. The Bible is extremely clear that at death the body only, not the soul and not the spirit, returns to the dust from which it was made. The Bible is explicit that the soul and the spirit continue to exist apart from the body. If they continue to exist apart from the body, then they never were physical.
As for the soul being a "bridge from spirit to body", I can't think of anything in the Bible that teaches such a thought. But the Bible is extremely clear that the soul is not physical. In fact, the word 'soul' is generally contrasted with the physical.

Wrong again. Memory is not physical. It continues after the physical is gone. See Jesus' account of the rich man and Lazarus, the martyred saints crying out for justice in Rev. 6:10, etc.royplumber wrote:your long term memory and short term memory is physical
