Does a Christian have two natures??

Post by branham1965 »

not trying to cause a row.nor justify anything.

im wondering what folks thinks.

i reckon the pet answer that will come.

but i mean what do folks here really think???????

FOR EXAMPLE if one is a Christian and sees a beautiful woman what is that that draws one to look more than once???
IF one sees someone harming ones loved one what is that urge to retaliate and defend her?????
IF one has troubles with temper, thought life, bad habits, cussing, mental issues, worry any 101 things that seem to trouble believers.
if that nature is gone and dead why the problems??????????

Dad Hagin said he had to fight his flesh like anyone else.his biggest trouble once in his walk with God he said was ....worry.
he also said from a divine Visitation of Jesus God will judge believers quicker on spiritual sins than physical sins.that shocked me.
James 1:14 if men have no sin nature as has been taught by Wesley which in turn became holiness doctrine and Pentecostal doctrine.

im shooting from the hip.

i hope it ...

In effect we do have two natures. One our flesh is self centered and wants only to indulge itself. The other our spiritual nature once we are saved wants to serve God in obedience and faithfulness. We have a constant conflict which requires us to crucify the flesh.

Billy
There is two ways the flesh uses to increase your self esteem
1. Through accomplishment
2. Pushing others down.

I think what you are seeing is the latter. People's flesh feels better when it isn't thinking of it's own shortcomings focused instead on the shortcomings of others. Pride.

It is an easy trap to fall into. Man always wants to elevate himself even at the cost of others. We have to remember to do (think) unto others as we would have them do (think) unto us.

Hi Ed,

Where do you get that we humans have TWO natures?
Inbred sin or “the old man” is the spirit and nature of the devil working in men of disobedience. The “old man” is the opposite of righteousness or “the new man” which is the Spirit and nature of God working in men of obedience (Eph. 2:1-3; 4:22-24). The “old man” then is not some part of the body, soul, or spirit of man, but is the spirit and nature of the devil working in man the lusts of sin. The “old man” could be spelled D–E–V–I–L or S–A–T–A–N, and this will express the truth about inbred sin as taught in Scripture. Finis J. Dake, Bible Truths Unmasked, (Lawrenceville, GA: Dake Publishing, Inc., 2003), WORDsearch CROSS e-book, 51.
