Purpose before the person???

Post by bibleman »

Purpose was before the person! Everything about you is precisely put together for the plan of God! - Paula White

This seems to be the biggest bunch of stupidity I have ever read, yet many believe this!

What is your take on this?

The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

Hmm her comment really does not make make a lot of sense to me. What does she mean by this. It kind of just sounds like a catch frase to me you know like "do you smell what the Rock is cookin" or 'two birds in the hand is worth two in the bush" I don't think I quoted that right lol. But any way, what is she saying here?

Much of what I hear is the attempt to alleviate people of personal responsibility. It's as if you will fulfill the plan of God whether you want to or not.

What's also interesting is that Paula at one time used a large note edition of the Dake bible. She should have read and studied it.

Interesting, I am glad you can make sense of what she said, because it still does not make sense to me  So in a way she is taking the free will out of it? I have said this phrase over and over again to my self and I don understand it. I am saying it to myself again, Paula you made my head hurt with this one. oh wait I know...never mind :turn-l:

Ultimately this is the thought she implants in the mind. However, here is the interpretation of what she said. Paula is saying that God had a purpose first, and then put together a person, for the plan of God. The person must be full of pieces of purpose precisely arranged as a person so you are a walking - talking - breathing - purpose of God fulfilling his plan.

Makes sense? NO! But that is what she said +wink
