ON this video at 22:45 you will hear Brother Swaggart say their is only ONE thing that will cause a person who has once been saved to revert to the status of unbeliever.
In other words as they talk about on the video no SIN will do that - commit all the sin you want to and you are still saved!
This is what he calls the message of the cross and that is false doctrine.

Listening to those qualifications for the rapture by Reverend Dake there is a big difference.i loved it.it put the fear of God in me.

If one commits a death penalty sin
one incurs the death penalty.
Reverend Dake is teaching the Bible.

i heard Brother Loren Larson and 2 others with Brother Swaggart say today on the message of the Cross...paraphrasing trying my best here ...there is nothing we can do to lose our salvation.nothing we can do.

that shocked me.

i do enjoy the preaching and the music.

i feel what he said on here is totally unscriptural.

i dont understand how they can say this now.

From what I've heard of Swaggart's message over the past few years (I can only take so much of him and his half-sobbing) it does seem like a false emphasis on grace. Of course, given his own history and his son's marriage disaster, it makes sense he would play the forgiveness card in a big way. But what bugs me the most is that he claims none of the apostles until Paul understood the **real** message. And of course, now Swaggart does too.

To be honest, I think he is fishing for members in his "television church" and wants them to tithe to him. He has a big operation with plenty of family involved, so he has to find ways to keep the dynasty going.

i hate getting on a man who was called at 8 and has reached alot of people with the Gospel.even in Soviet Russia.

Billy, there's a church in my neck of the woods that has hired a graduate from Swaggart's school, and also has one of their young men going to school down there. Since the arrival of the graduate, this church now publicly takes shots at all the other churches in the area, claiming no one preaches or even understands the "message of the Cross" except for them. The odd thing is, there are Sunday services where they will dispense with any message from the Word because the Spirit 'told' the pastor to just let people laugh and dance.

The critical side of me wonders how long it will be before they are expected to start sending their money to the mother church.
