If we're not praying for our Pastor and our churches, we'd better start and pray fervently. The government is going to be telling the 501c3 churches what they can and cannot preach. The Pastors, if they stand firm, will be greatly persecuted and possible punished severely for non-compliance. And that will filter right down through the congregations also. God help us! Christian freedom is being taken away quickly, folks, and for the most part, we have sat back and watched it happen, doing nothing.

The day will come when we will be told to denounce Jesus Christ or die. But, as Paul said in Philippians - "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

Wearing the full armour of God, we must stand.

You are so right. I watch the world around me and everyone is going on, and it seems like they're not even paying attention to the downfall that is taking place. Acceptance and condoning of anti-Biblical behavior, acceptance of false gods, etc. And this is exactly what the Bible tells us - 2 Timothy 3:1-5 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, balsphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."


Verse 14-15 then tells us ""But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and has been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which in in Christ Jesus."

It only takes a short look around at our world to see exactly what is going on. Sad thing is - that most do not recognize it or they fail to see how it impacts us.

I sat down with an NIV and a KJV Bible and started comparing. I was shocked at how much Scripture is either changed or omitted from the NIV. I gave up - it became so exhausting and overwhelming. I surely wouldn't want to stand before God and admit that I lead others to alter His inspired Words.

I didn't realize those statistics were the norm for the day. Sounds about right, considering the percentage of Pastors who teach the Word of God without interpretation. I think you know what I mean by that statement, Leon.

It also sounds like our pastors need more than just our prayers. They need our involvement with the great commission laid out by Jesus.

I have never understood how a Christian could be a Christian without supporting the local church!
