No it has gotten into Creflo Dollar's church there is a world of difference between authentic Pentecostal/Charismatic and Creflo Dollar's theology.branham1965 wrote:Creflo says that we dont need to confess sins at all.he was released by God to say this.

What exactly did he say?
There has been this teaching for years that at conversion there is no need to confess every single sin, but to simply confess that we are a sinner and stand in need of God's forgiveness. Thus the New Birth.
Was that it... OR was he talking about confessing our sins AFTER salvation, when and if committed?
God bless

Re: CREFLO no need to confess sin
OK
Just listened to the whole video of that teaching which was part of a series.
http://player.theplatform.com/p/IfSiAC/ ... ?form=html
Here is what I heard.
1) You have to listen to the whole series because he said he did not have time to give you all of that in one sermon.
2) He said we are NOT under the Law.
3) He said we are NOT to use the 10 commandments as our moral compass.
3) He said we are NOT to use the Law as our moral compass.
4) He said we are NOT to have to follow the 600 plus laws of the OT. (wonder where he got that - hint, hint)
I agree with ALL of that.
Do you?

I didn't listen to Creflo I was responding to Billy's comment.
However if Creflo said the 10 commandments and the law shouldn't be a part of our moral compass then I have to disagree with that. Most of the laws in this nation are founded or based on the 10 commandment and or the law.

Re: CREFLO no need to confess sin
Let me also say if someone says something that dramatically effects how most people view religion and don't explain in clear cut terms what they are saying and instead say you must listen to the whole series is playing exactly the same game as the TV producers play in sitcom TV where you must tune in next week to find out what happened.
I would say that is playing fast and loose and I'm not sure God would approve. Personal opinion I would never listen to the person again nor would I be interested in anything they said.
For Creflo to make such a statement that they is no need to confess sin without fully explaining what he is saying is and letting people walk away hearing only that is unconscionable on his part.

Above you said: "Now it has gotten into Creflo Dollar's church..."
You then said: "I didn't listen to Creflo I was responding to Billy's comment."
Do you think that is wise to pass judgement on someone through "hearsay" testimony?
Above you said: "However if Creflo said the 10 commandments and the law shouldn't be a part of our moral compass then I have to disagree with that."
So then you believe that Christians should NOT eat shellfish, wear polyester, or cut their grass on Saturday morning?
You think that is our moral compass?
God bless

I think either we are all talking about the two different things. The Old Testament contained both the ceremonial/religious law and social/civil law. The religious law was part the dealt with Religion, hygiene and dietary laws. The civil/social law was the who should pay if a bull was killed or lying and murder.
Since we are not Jewish it makes no sense to keep the religious law however we all live in society so it make sense to make the social/civil law models for our laws. Therefore they become our moral compass.

OK,... So you believe we are to live by some of the OT law and not by some other parts of OT law!Justaned wrote:Biblemanbibleman wrote:Hi Ed,Justaned wrote:bibleman wrote:Hi Ed,Justaned wrote:No it has gotten into Creflo Dollar's church there is a world of difference between authentic Pentecostal/Charismatic and Creflo Dollar's theology.branham1965 wrote:Creflo says that we dont need to confess sins at all.he was released by God to say this.

Do you have a Scripture passage that would teach that in the NT?
