Yes I have.

To me what is missing today is people seeking God. They are seeking instead manifestations, signs and wonders if you will and want to give nothing of themselves to get it.

We don't see people tarrying at the altars, we don't see people crying out to God. We don't see fasting for days for God's leading.

What we see is hype, emotions, sensationalism and little of what made Pentecostalism, Pentecostal.

About the closest we come today of the Pentecostalism that ignited the church is when we reminisce about days gone by.

So please don't compare any of these today to those that knew the cost of having God's leading.

I'm not Ed, so I can't answer for him.

Those that seek after signs, wonders, and miracles, also are what The Lord warned of- those that have itching ears, 2 Timothy 4:3, who seek to be entertained, rather than be fed the Word of God. This is a strong indicator of the Apostasy The Lord warned us would be here, in The Last Days... Is it not far better, to seek The Lord, in all His aspects, to KNOW Him, and not just what He does?

Don't seek the Works of God, but rather seek God! If you do, as in Matthew 22:37-39, in The Lord's two Greatest commandments, you shall see signs, wonders, and miracles. Those are the purview of God, and as He Wills...

Likewise, God IS Sovereign. He's not like a modern weapon system- point, click, "BOOM!" Nope, He is, as stated, Sovereign. He does as He Wills, when He Wills, where He Wills, and how He Wills... He's not like a trained monkey. One must NEVER take God for granted. Such is hubris, arrogance, and total disrespect for Our God... One does not "schedule" the Almighty... NEVER...

Gloria Copeland is the husband of the man, Kenneth Copeland, who said, "Thus saith The Lord," about raising 25,000 from the dead, after the last major earthquake to hit Mexico City. I remember seeing him say it. Folks around me were excited and amazed, that such a "mighty prophet of God" had uttered such. They EXPECTED to see 25,000 raised from the dead. Well, far fewer than 25,000 died, and NONE were raised from the dead. Lest "the anointed" one be harmed, as warned by the Copeland camp, few said anything, when that prophesy didn't come to pass...

Anybody here remember the fate of false prophets? Copeland is "lucky" that this is a different dispensation. However, God has more than adequately warned us, IN HIS WORD, concerning false prophets...

Be warned, God is neither amused, nor pleased with those that hare off after false prophets, or others who lead His Sheep astray... God is NOT mocked...

He's warned the Body of Christ, and NO TRUE BELIEVER can ignore what The Lord has said...

Chose you this day, whether to follow God, or man. Repent, ask God's forgiveness, and return to Him... Before it's too late...

Please give a citation for reference for that. I have never heard that.

In 1985, Copeland gave his "prophecy," right after the earthquake in Mexico City. Our whole church saw it on a big screen, as it was a large "camp meeting." We sent people and aid, and sorry, Bibleman, nobody was raised from the dead... We were told that approximately 10,000 died, and as many as 30,000 had been injured. Copeland's track record as "a prophet of God" can best be said as, "open for interpretation-" IF you are very charitable. When it comes to the Word of God, I'm not. "By their fruits, ye shall know them..." He is very spoiled fruit...

I will ask you the same question I asked Ed...Who are to claim that God did not have her schedule these meetings? You go through this whole tirade about God and that He does what He wants, when He wants, where He wants, how He wants, only to immediately follow up with saying that He wouldn't schedule anything? Really? Perhaps the fulness of time had come, and it was time for another healing school...but, according to you, God doesn't do that...right?

Some of you guys who claim to love the teachings of Dake really make me wonder if you have actually read them. This disdain for faith teachers exhibited here and this Calvinistic sounding talk is nothing like what I have ever read in any of Dake's books, and I have read most of them (with the exception that I have not read all of the notes in the study Bible). It would appear to me that the man who I am told spoke at Marilyn Hickey's church and was friends with Lester Sumrall would not have the same problems with Gloria Copeland as some of the folks who post on this forum.

To me Word-Faith is simply teaching the classic Pentecostal message that most of you modern day Pentecostals have forsaken for a shallow acceptance within mainstream evangelical Christianity.

I would say that a 71 year old woman who takes no prescriptions and is not sick and has no sickness or disease is worth listening to... when she is in agreement with the Word of God!
