Why can't we look at this literally. If God gave Jesus all power in heaven above and earth beneath, and he now holds those two keys
The key of death would represent final death of the body. Therefore Jesus is the only one who is authorized to decide when an individuals life ends.
The key of Hades or Hell would represent judgement. Therefore Jesus is the only one who is authorized to judge an individuals salvation or whether the person goes to Heaven or Hell for eternity.

Yes I read the Discussion Board every day. I forgot my password and just corrected it. I would rather read and learn the thoughts and answers of others than say too much. I know it would not be much of a discussion board if everyone had this attitude. I will post frequently.

Why sidetrack this thread? Before you do how about telling us what you think having the keys of death and hades means to you.
