Is there a purpose to your inquisition about 3 days and 3 nights ?
Actually, my inquisition is about the commonality of saying that a daytime or a night time would be involved with an event when no part of a daytime or no part of a night time could be.
and my purpose is simply to
And my purpose is simply to satisfy my curiosity about the issue.

I see.
Keep digging, and asking God to open His secrets to you.
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." (Matt 7:7-8)
His revelations can be life turning !

I am sorry that I wasn't any help.

You're in good company.

But perhaps someone new looking in may know of examples.

And remember, that "someone new" needs to be someone who believes the crucifixion took place on the 6th day of the week with a 1st day of the week resurrection, and who thinks that the "heart of the earth" is referring to the tomb, and who tries to explain the lack of a 3rd night by saying that the Messiah was employing common figure of speech/colloquial language of the period.

Matthew 27:62-63;
On the next day which followed the day of preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate.
Saying, "Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, After three days I will rise"
Even the murderers knew it was 3 days and 3 nights.

Why do people want to always go beyond what is written?
