Blaspheming the God the Holy Spirit: Clarita Villanueva & Lester Sumrall
The following quote is from a story that Lester Sumrall told about a girl that was demonized.
He who has ears let him hear wrote:
"There was a raging battle with the girl blaspheming God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit."
According to the site in question, this quote is from "Lester Sumrall, Alien Entities. A look behind the door to the spirit realm, printed in the USA by Whitaker House (PA), 1995, pages 131-138".
Is it reasonable to conclude that even though Sumrall says that "the girl" was "blaspheming... God the Holy Spirit" that it really wasn't the girl doing it, it was the demon or demons that had possessed the girl? Therefore, the girl wasn't responsible for what the demon(s) said through her?

As I see no incidents of possessed people in the bible blaspheming, it seems out of the devil's character, for someone outside of the bible to be doing so.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Mon Oct 13, 2025 9:43 pm The following quote is from a story that Lester Sumrall told about a girl that was demonized.

If Summrall's incident was real, God will be able to judge who did what.

I agree. God will certainly rightly judge who did what, if the incident was real (which we don't know).

That is a very good observation. I hadn't considered the possibility that possessed people don't blaspheme.

I know I'm conflating the last clause of what you wrote with the first part... But, it's striking to think that it might be outside of the devil's character to cause possessed people to blaspheme.
Interesting line of thought.
Thank you.

I was just thinking that if the devil used a crazy person to defile/defy God, every listener would just say "There goes that crazy guy.", and would put no stock in his utterances.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 10:50 amI agree. Using a king or president, or business tycoon, to do it, would reach a far larger number of people.
