Article 9: Divine Healing

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 9: Divine Healing

We believe divine healing is provided in Christ's atonement and is the privilege of every believer today. It is received by faith, through prayer, anointing with oil, or laying on of hands, without reliance on medicine alone.
  • Provision: "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24 KJV). "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... and with his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV; Matthew 8:17 KJV).
  • Method: "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up" (James 5:15 KJV). "They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18 KJV).
  • Application: Sickness is from the curse (Deuteronomy 28:59-61 KJV), but redemption frees us (Galatians 3:13 KJV). Believers confess healing: "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord" (Psalm 118:17 KJV). Hagin taught healing as God's will, rejecting suffering as redemptive.

Article 10: The Lord's Supper

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 10: The Lord's Supper

We believe the Lord's Supper is a memorial ordinance commemorating Christ's death until His return. It consists of bread (symbolizing His body) and the fruit of the vine (symbolizing His blood), observed by believers in self-examination.
  • Institution: "And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you" (Luke 22:19-20 KJV).
  • Purpose: Proclamation of His death (1 Corinthians 11:26 KJV) and discernment of His body for healing and unity (1 Corinthians 11:29-30 KJV).
  • Participation: For baptized believers after self-examination (1 Corinthians 11:28 KJV). Unworthy participation brings judgment (1 Corinthians 11:27-32 KJV).

Article 11: The God-Kind of Faith and Positive Confession

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 11: The God-Kind of Faith and Positive Confession

We believe faith is a spiritual force, the God-kind of faith dealt to every believer, operating by believing in the heart and confessing with the mouth. Words have creative power; positive confession aligns with God's Word to bring promises into manifestation.
  • Definition: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 KJV). God used faith to create: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God" (Hebrews 11:3 KJV).
  • Operation: "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23 KJV). Confession precedes possession (Romans 10:10 KJV).
  • Source and Growth: Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17 KJV) and is the measure dealt by God (Romans 12:3 KJV). Hagin taught: Believe in your heart, say with your mouth, and it shall come to pass. Wrong confessions bind; faith-filled words release victory (Proverbs 6:2 KJV; 2 Corinthians 4:13 KJV).
  • Application: Speak to circumstances (Mark 11:23 KJV), reject doubt (James 1:6-8 KJV), and act on the Word (James 2:17 KJV). Faith overcomes the world (1 John 5:4 KJV).

Article 12: The Authority of the Believer

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 12: The Authority of the Believer

We believe believers have been given authority over Satan and his works through Christ's victory. We are seated with Christ in heavenly places, with power to bind and loose, tread on serpents, and reign in life.
  • Basis: "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (Ephesians 2:6 KJV). "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19 KJV).
  • Scope: Authority over demons (Mark 16:17 KJV), sickness (James 5:14-15 KJV), and circumstances (Matthew 18:18 KJV). Christ spoiled principalities (Colossians 2:15 KJV), delegating authority to us (Matthew 28:18-19 KJV).
  • Exercise: Through the name of Jesus (Acts 3:6 KJV; Philippians 2:10 KJV) and resisting the devil (James 4:7 KJV; 1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV). Hagin emphasized believers as God's representatives, enforcing Satan's defeat.

Article 13: Financial Prosperity

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 13: Financial Prosperity

We believe financial prosperity is part of redemption, God's will for believers to meet needs, fund the Gospel, and enjoy abundance. It comes through giving, tithing, faith, and obedience, not greed.
  • Promise: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 1:2 KJV). "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 KJV).
  • Basis: Redeemed from poverty's curse (Galatians 3:13-14 KJV; Deuteronomy 28:11-13 KJV). Abraham's blessing is ours (Galatians 3:29 KJV), including wealth (Genesis 13:2 KJV).
  • Principles: Tithing (Malachi 3:10 KJV), sowing and reaping (2 Corinthians 9:6-8 KJV; Galatians 6:7 KJV), giving cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV). Hagin taught prosperity for kingdom purposes, warning against materialism but affirming God's provision through faith confessions like "I am blessed coming in and going out" (Deuteronomy 28:6 KJV).
  • Warnings: Seek first the kingdom (Matthew 6:33 KJV); avoid love of money (1 Timothy 6:10 KJV).

Article 14: The Church and Its Mission

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 14: The Church and Its Mission

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers, called to worship, edify one another, and evangelize the world. It operates under the five-fold ministry gifts for equipping.
  • Nature: "And he is the head of the body, the church" (Colossians 1:18 KJV). One body with many members (1 Corinthians 12:12-27 KJV).
  • Gifts and Ministries: Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers (Ephesians 4:11-12 KJV); spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11 KJV; Romans 12:6-8 KJV).
  • Mission: Preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15 KJV), make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20 KJV), heal the sick (Mark 16:18 KJV), and demonstrate God's kingdom (Matthew 10:7-8 KJV).

Article 15: The Second Coming of Christ and the Resurrection

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 15: The Second Coming of Christ and the Resurrection

We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ for His Church (the Rapture), followed by the Tribulation, His millennial reign, and the final resurrection.
  • Rapture: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout... and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV).
  • Second Coming: "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 21:27 KJV). He returns as King (Revelation 19:11-16 KJV) to reign 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4-6 KJV).
  • Resurrection: Of the just to eternal life (Daniel 12:2 KJV; John 5:29 KJV) and the unjust to judgment (Revelation 20:12-15 KJV).

Article 16: Hell and Eternal Retribution

Post by Spiritblade Disciple »

Grok wrote: Article 16: Hell and Eternal Retribution

We believe those who die without Christ are eternally lost in the lake of fire, with no further opportunity for repentance. Hell is literal, conscious, and everlasting punishment for the wicked.
  • Reality: "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:15 KJV). "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God" (Psalm 9:17 KJV).
  • Eternal Nature: "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal" (Matthew 25:46 KJV). No annihilation or second chance (Hebrews 9:27 KJV).
  • Urgency: Motivates evangelism (Jude 1:23 KJV). The saved go to heaven's presence (2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV).

How does it "restore" something we never had ?

Grok wrote: Article 8: Sanctification and Holy Living

We believe sanctification is a definite yet progressive work of grace, beginning at regeneration and continuing until Christ's return. It involves separation from sin and dedication to God, enabling holy living through the Word, the blood, and the Spirit.
  • Definition: "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV). Without it, no one sees the Lord (Hebrews 12:14 KJV).
  • Process: Instantaneous positional sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30 KJV) and progressive practical sanctification (2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV; Philippians 3:12-14 KJV). Achieved by the Word (John 17:17 KJV), faith (Acts 26:18 KJV), and yielding to the Spirit (Romans 6:13 KJV).
  • Evidence: Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV), love (1 John 4:7 KJV), and obedience (1 John 2:3 KJV). Believers are called to holiness in thought, word, and deed (1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV).
Inferring any difference between "positional sanctification" and "practical sanctification" is a gross error.
If God says(?) you have been atoned for, consecrated, hallowed, set apart, made holy, (definitions of sanctified), how can one be any less than those things ?
One either is, or isn't sanctified.
