Does "mocking" sound like it is from God?
No.
You will more likely to be mocked if you say "you no longer commit sin", at a Pentecostal joint.

Does "mocking" sound like it is from God?
And yet, it is written..."The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: " (Pro 9:10)
Why do you assume that weakness is sickness?Hill Top wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 3:06 pmThat is what Paul did, isn't it?
It is written..." For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." (2 Cor 12:8-10)
Who knows, as it isn't written: but he did "take pleasure in infinities".What sickness and diseases did Paul have? Are you one of the folks that believe Paul was blind and had some type of disease?
Why do you state hilltop is an enemy? If he believes Christ crucified and rose from the dead he is your brother as well as mine. If he is in error about certain doctrines or disagrees with other's views does not mean he does not believe Jesus rose again and is his savior. Everyone is not always on the same page when it comes to knowledge of scripture.dolph wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 5:23 pm HillTop just said, Does "mocking" sound like it is from God?

"Pentecostal joint"?? Well, Hilltop just showed his true colors. We have an enemy in the camp! No wonder he "doesn't get it!
HillTop, Question: Have you ever been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues????????????????????
Why doesn't that apply to Jesus too?dolph wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 3:46 pm HillTop, if you were making a desperate defense for a noble cause you would earn our respect but to put up such a fight against Christians' biblical response to Satan's attacks on mankind is absurd, pitiful, obnoxious and embarrassing for yourself and begins to look like a man who can't admit he is ever wrong or who never sins.
I don't, as infirmity was also the table.luchnia wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 6:54 pmWhy do you assume that weakness is sickness?Hill Top wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 3:06 pmThat is what Paul did, isn't it?

That Paul was a sinner because he had infirmities?
Or that he rejoiced in them?
Or that God is strong in us when we are weak?
Yes, I have.HillTop, Question: Have you ever been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues????????????????????
Thank you again, holy Father, for believing my repentance from sin was true! Thank you for occupying this sanctified, pure temple as Your own.
To determine if they are of God, or not, we need to ask them if they commit sin.dolph wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 9:08 pm To call the Pentecostal movement a "joint" was an attack on the Pentecostal movement which is of God and makes HT an enemy of the movement of God. Whether he is saved or not will be determined on Judgment Day to paraphrase HT's own words. No one here is qualified to say whether HT is saved or not.
It is written..."But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
"The righteousness of God without the Law is manifested..." "by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: "and if one reads I John that one must keep the law to be a Christian.
Which scripture does rev Dake quote for the answer you allude to?I remain in the main Bible believing camp with Dr. Dake and will continue my effort not to sin and to confess and repent to my High Priest Jesus Christ when I do sin. Whether or not we lose our salvation each time we sin and have to be born again and again as my hero Dake teaches is academic to me at the present time.
I don't encourage folks to "sin less".I again thank you, HillTop, for indirectly encouraging me to sin less and strive for the no-sin level even though "to say that is a lie" according to scripture. (If that scripture is taken literally, by the way, how many people will end up in Hell, 99.999%?)
The divine nature is available to all who turn from darkness and unto the Light.Another "by the way", I told myself to make an effort not to sin Saturday which lasted until the Giant-Detroit game Sunday when I couldn't stop calling my beloved 2-6 Giants jerks and idiots every time they made bad plays. It's not easy being perfect like HillTop, sigh.
If the seed of God is in you, you cannot commit sin. It's been an interesting debate but don't take it too hard HT, someone had to loose.
