The term "begotten' means "born of" to me, so His birthday is the day He was born of God and Mary.
I may also consider it the day of conception; so He was, by that logic, begotten when the Holy Ghost came over Mary.

What is your definition of "begotten" ?

As is stated in the first chapter of Hebrews.
I agree with you, but I have seen a divergence from what is plainly stated in the bible where some teachers place the time of Jesus being begotten to His resurrection from the dead.
A position I cannot agree with
