Of course Jesus never was scared as you said you were. Do you have a verse that states that?

The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

Yes, Heb 5:7..."Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;"

Jesus said he could have called 10,000 angels. And yet you think he was Scared?

Re: KEEP REPENTING OR ETERNAL SECURITY?
Why would Jesus fear physical death or the one who causes it since He never feared the enemy? Don't you realize that in a millisecond of time He could have stopped those that tortured and murdered Him dead in their tracks with hordes of messengers from God? Fear of the evil one or his minions is never a good thing.Hill Top wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 9:31 pm I would think fear of torture and death.
He handled it by being obedient to His Father, with faith that all would work out for the good.
If bibleman and dolph want to use a "fear is sin" course of reasoning, then they must also be accusing Jesus of sin...and quite erroneously.
Sometimes fear is a good thing.
The fear of God leads to eternal life.

BTW, why not put that verse in context, especially with verses 1-6? Taking verses out of context continues to cause most of the erroneous doctrinal issues. Take a good hard look at the context of the chapter and see what it means? What was Jesus praying for and since He was heard what was the outcome of the answer to the prayers and supplications that He offered up?

He was a man, subject to all that we are subject to.bibleman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 12:07 amYou really think Jesus was scared like you are?Hill Top wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:31 pm"Crying and tears" because of reverence?bibleman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:23 pmThe word feared has to do with reverence not scared as you said you wereHill Top wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:03 pmYes, Heb 5:7..."Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;"

Sometimes fear is a good thing.
The fear of God leads to eternal life.Because He was in a man's body and subject to "man's" emotions and reactions.
Scripture, please.since He never feared the enemy?
But He didn't, even with the fear of torture and death on the horizon.Don't you realize that in a millisecond of time He could have stopped those that tortured and murdered Him dead in their tracks with hordes of messengers from God? Fear of the evil one or his minions is never a good thing.
He maintained His "humanity" till the end.
If He could not be touched by fear, hunger, thirst, love, joy, tiredness, loneliness, betrayal, and a dozen more attributes of humanity, how could He represent us in our moments of fear, hunger, thirst, etc?
He was one of us...and still He never committed sin.
Our perfect example.

Which context?
That He was in the flesh and suffered every emotion we suffer?
That His obedience manifested His perfection, and that He became the author of eternal salvation...to those that obey Him?
Or something else?
