I don't think one sick judge will set the course of thinking for major population. Even for non believers this is gross.

Perhaps not as universally gross as you might think. It is known within the homosexual community that the only way they can survive is to recruit new members. This is often done at a pedophile level as evidenced by such organizations as Manboy and NAMBLA (North America Man Boy Love Association) and many other organizations and special interest groups that are working to remove age restrictions on sex.

As this is coming out in the open we are learning that incest is not all that uncommon. In fact there is a high estimated percentage of young boys and girls that have been exposed to sex by a relative. Some of the indoctrination is done as simply leaving pornographic magazines that display father daughter, mother son, mother daughter sex or father son and other combinations with brothers sisters and other relatives. The child is given to understand this is normal since they can see it taking place in pictures, videos and books they are exposed to. This gives the pervert the perfect victim. One who doesn't think it is wrong, doesn't want to see a beloved family member get into trouble, and since many are parents a child, the child is not protected by parents or others.

There are now noted psychologists, authors, and yes even screenwriters that have tried to make the case, that for young sexual virgins it is less traumatic if their parent teaches them the ropes so to speak. The argument is the parent will be more caring, more loving and more gentle making sure the everything is explained and understood as they proceed. Unlike a back seat experience in a date's car or a sex lesson under the bleachers at school.

Personally I view this as bunk. A parent that would do this to a child has one thing on their mind their own personal twisted demented lust.

However this thinking is becoming more and more mainstream in in and out of the pornographic industry and has begin to creep into our homes and schools through TV, Movies, books and even video/computer games. We are seeing younger and younger children with Sexually Transmitted Diseases and in many cases they will not reveal how it occurred, particularly if the parents can get a lawyer involved soon enough.

I'm not sure why everyone is feinting alarm and surprise. Scripture clearly points out this is the course of events that mankind will follow. And not to put the entire fault on humanity, Christianity bears some of the responsibility for this slippery slope decline. We, the church, have compromised on morals, while bickering among ourselves on lesser matters. We have allowed the fact that we disagree on secondary points of the gospel to keep us from uniting on the primary points. We would rather not fellowship divided by those that believe in a pre-Adamic world and those that don't, rather than rally around the common ground of the Cross.

Yes, this demise was coming, but the church did little to hold it at bay for a longer period of time.

Why are you accusing people of only pretending to be surprised and alarmed? Just because we know what the Bible predicts does not negate the fact that we feel dismay and surprise as we see it unfolding. The Lord Jesus himself expressed surprise and alarm at how he was received, even though he knew ahead of time what the response would be.

Strain the gnats..... maybe people aren't pretending, maybe they haven't been reading the Bible and observing the times, maybe both, maybe something else. Grandfather I totally agree with you on the church. I have been saying it for years. The church is divided and as such is easily side tracked and distracted by issues that shouldn't be issues. Instead of focusing on what is important, the cross, we focus on things that define our denominations. Be it the way we baptize, the way we teach on Pentecost, the way we bless, whether we recite a creed or not or even on whether there was a preadamic world or not. None of it is important if we aren't living and sharing Jesus with the world.

I've seen this as well, but with one caveat -- they are critical of everyone that isn't like "them" but are never critical of themselves.

Yes you are right however there are those of us that haven't left the church, haven't splintered off a splinter group that believes the body of Christ can be awakened out of it slumber if it will stop being so willing to let someone else do it. I have seen this in church after church people are quick to point out what should/needs to be done but few will commit to do it. And in many cases holiness isn't even discussed.

Example before service I asked two guys to pray over the offering. In both cases they were beside themselves. Both are considered elders, one talks of his personal one on one relationship with a great evangelist his answer was "what would I say." The other has shown me pictures of his Grandfather and father both of whom were pastors and him as a boy standing in front of church he grew up in. His response to my request "Ask someone else I don't pray." In the past I had wondered by the pastor of the church didn't use the men of the church to pray more. Now I know.

Now take either one of these two guys and ask them about the baptist in the community and they will wear you out telling things. Mention Catholics and you will have them frothing at the mouth.

The body of Christ has to awaken and standup. If it does not how will the children that comes after us ever learn the way of holiness should the Lord tarry another 100 years or so?
