The Father: The Only True God?
The Father: The Only True God?
John 17:1-3 King James Version
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and said, "Father, the hour is come; glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee: As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as Thou hast given Him. And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent."

He Godhead. The Father, the Word, the Holy Spirit. These three are one, they agree in all things.
Galatians 4: 16, Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Jesus WAS the Word.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Wed Dec 17, 2025 6:32 pmSpiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Fri Dec 05, 2025 3:43 pm True of False:

It was the Word that was God.
As Jesus was no longer the Word after putting on skin and bones, He also gave up being God.
He will again be God when all things are subdued unto Him..."And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." (1 Cor 15:28)

That's an interesting take.Hill Top wrote: ↑Fri Dec 19, 2025 10:41 pm Jesus WAS the Word.

In my mind, that's definitely different from what I normally hear, but I can sort of see how that could make sense. Though, it raises questions regarding whether or not there are any scriptures that suggest an alternative conclusion.
Here's one...
When God is finally all in all, does that mean that everything will be God at that time?
