Besides the fact that they have never shown any dominion over him, I have seen no biblical instances where man had dominion.
I know that Jesus fulfilled the Gen 3:15 prophetic reference to it.
And I know the reborn have dominion, because we can now resist every temptation...because we are "in" Christ.

2 Cor 3:18 is the difference, between v18 and the unsanctified of v14.
V14 were blinded, but we (v18), have had our eyes opened by the grace of God.

Phil 3:12 iterates what Paul had yet to attain...the resurrection from the dead, from v11; (and v21's new vessel).
He summarizes that point in v21..."Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself."
His lack of perfection entailed only the lack of the new body.

I don't know all the false doctrines of man, so can only say that there are no arguments for prog. sanctification.
One is either atoned for, consecrated, set apart, made holy; or they are not.
