Re: Who is correct?
Listen to any Evangelical preacher/teacher and they will put their beliefs above the Word of God every time.
If you cannot understand that you are just as corrupt in your theology turning your beliefs into the word of God.

I understand that, and agree with you on the corruption they espouse.
I was just wondering what exactly provoked you to start this thread. If you cannot understand that you are just as corrupt in your theology turning your beliefs into the word of God.

Re: Who is correct?
Ok, let's start with "healing is not in the atonement " this is classed as the normal state in Christianity and "healing is in the atonement " is heresy.
Re: Who is correct?
I suppose "that which is healed" is in question.
While the atonement of Jesus Christ won't make all your tooth cavities disappear, it will heal one's soul.

Re: Who is correct?
Faith comes by hearing and constantly hearing the word of God.
So, what becomes of the people that hear a layer of church/denominations doctrines over the word of God?
Will they receive faith?

Re: Who is correct?
You are changing the subject.
What scriptures infer that Jesus died so we won't have tooth aches or cancer ?
As for your new question, they will receive nothing.

Re: Who is correct?
I am no fan of denominations, but often find a person's objection of a denominational teaching is based on misunderstanding and often a preachers misinterpretation of a denominational doctrine. People hear that preaching and disagree and walk away saying
Denomination X is all wrong. When in fact the preacher they heard was wrong and had corrupted the actual doctrine of the denomination. This happens in often and happens in both denominational and non denominational churches.
If you are going to object of a denominational doctrine make sure you have read that denominations stated doctrine and your objection is not based on what you heard or what you think you heard.
On the second part of this discussion yes God will heal a toothache, cancer, any disease or problem we have. But most scripture people stand on to claim this is taken out of context and does not accurately reflect God's given scripture. Again what is written has a snippet taken out of context and many preachers teach it as factual doctrine.
