I don't know Dake believed in annihilationism.

No he does not... not for the human race. As I said above the human race will live somewhere either in Heaven or Hell for all eternity.

How could the giants not have had an eternal soul and were like the brutes if they had reason, freewill, and emotions? Further, they walked upright and had hands and articulate tongues.

Dake has argued that people of such size could not have come from ordinary human beings but how does he know that? Is it genetically impossible? Robert Wadlow was 8' 11.1" and his father was 5' 11'' while presumably his mother would have been even shorter most likely.
