Straining at a gnat, and swallowing a camel

Post by bibleman »

Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Matthew 23:24 (MSG) Do you have any idea how silly you look, writing a life story that's wrong from start to finish, nitpicking over commas and semicolons?

EXAMPLE!

Let's just say these are the agreed upon facts;
Ford creates and produces ALL YELLOW cars.
However those who start out with a YELLOW car may decide to paint it RED.
Ford allows this to happen and in fact encourages it and has no requirement against it.

Conclusion: ALL people in the beginning have the original color YELLOW car as was created... BUT some people may have a RED car, if they chose to paint it RED.

That is... ALL the cars were originally YELLOW but some chose to paint their YELLOW car RED.

SO THEN.

A person is born in sin (YELLOW) but they may decide to accept Christ and be free from sin, thus painting their car RED!

Simple as that!

God bless

The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

I pity the aborted babies, and those born with mental defects, and the children who die young.
Where does it say that men are born as sinners?

My understanding is there is a difference between being born in sin and being born a sinner. The first is scripturally sound, the second is not unless you are dealing with the giant races that have no resurrection. Their offspring was from evil seed and had no course of salvation.

Being born in sin as David was and many are did not make him born a sinner nor does it make others born sinners. People are not born sinners as sin is a choice from an individual as Paul clearly and distinctly taught. I think we have been down this road numerous times on this forum and not sure why we are going there again unless we just like to banter this stuff a kazillion times. :silly:

Mathew. 22:32;
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Thank God for that.
We don't need a "vessel" to be alive.
