Good question. Thought it was worthy of its own thread.

John mentioned it;

1John 5: 7-8,
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

8, And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

One person cannot be three witnesses in any court, in Heaven or on earth.

Galatians 4: 16, Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

The Dake Reference Bible has 89 PROOFS OF A DIVINE TRINITY in notes on 1 John; page 280.

SAINT PAUL " THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST,AND THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE COMMUNION OF THE HOLY GHOST BE WITH YOU ALL." 2 COR.13:14
SAINT PETER
" ELECT ACCORDING TO THE FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD THE FATHER,THROUGH THE SANCTIFICATION OF THE SPIRIT,UNTO OBEDIENCE AND THE SPRINKLING OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST:Grace unto you and peace be multiplied." 1 Peter 1:2

All of Paul's letters proclaim the Godhead of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.....
Here are three that will suffice....

2 Cor. 13:14; The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with
you all. Amen.

Ephesians. 2:18; For through Him (Jesus) we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians. 4:4-6; There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling:
One Lord, one faith, one baptism:
One God and Father of all, Who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Where did Paul mention a "trinity"?
A number of references to at least three, and maybe more. It is not know how many are in the godhead, nor does the bible say. Paul often mentioned three.

What??!!
The Bible says there are Three in 1John 5:7.Jesus Christ said there are Three in Matthew 3:16ff and Three in Matthew 28:18-20.
Rev. Dake talks about the 89 proofs of a Divine Trinity in his notes on 1 John in the Dake Bible.

The Mormons teach that there are multiple gods. That we all can become gods and other nutty heresies.

When you ask the question, do you mean use the actual word TRINITY, or use the concept of trinity in reference to a triune God?

That is why i said the Liturgical Churches are more right on and sound doctrinally than most of the non denominational bodies and free wheeling groups.
The Creeds give foundation to the Church.

There is either a Trinity or not.People on here seem to almost apologize about mentioning it!!! Reverend Dake taught the Trinity in his works.

I believe in it because it is proven in the Bible.

THE #1 SIGN OF A FALSE CULT IS THE DENIAL OF THE TRINITY.

Your statement "It is not known how many are in the Godhead, nor does the bible say" please explain your belief in this statement.
