What is the difference between "fellowship" and "relationship"? I would begin by asking you to define the terms. Are you using the dictionary terms or some biblical definition? And since you claim to draw this from 1 John 1, where is the term "relationship" used there?raymond5555 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2019 1:08 pmI'm first John chapter 1,fellowship vs relationship are exactly the same. Some say it's not that teach once saved always saved.
I am slightly confused by this statement. Is "some say it's not that teach OSAS) then by the way you have constructed the sentence there are some that say it is (the same) that teach OSAS as well.

A lot of false teachers that teach once saved always saved, say you can backslide and fall out of fellowship with God ,but still be in relationship with God.

Re: First John chapter 1,fellowship vs relationship?
Some advocates of unconditional security makes a distinction between the terms fellowship with God and relationship to God and claim that fellowship with God can be severed, but not the relationship with God. This distinction cannot be proven by scripture. No person who fails to walk in the light and truly practice the truth can rightly claim to be in a relationship with God.First John 1:5-7.
