Salvation NOT for the Disobedient

Post by Spiritblade Disciple » Tue Jun 26, 2018 9:10 pm

And being made perfect, [Christ] became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him...

— Hebrews 5:9 King James Version —
Salvation is for the obedient. Not the disobedient.

PARTAKERS OF CHRIST
"That the Gentiles should be FELLOWHEIRS, of the same body, and PARTAKERS of his promise in Christ by the gospel" (Eph. 3:6); "For we are made PARTAKERS OF CHRIST, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end" (Heb. 3:14).

Another great topic is obedience. In my opinion, I believe it is very misunderstood.

DAD HAGIN

has a bestselling tract called THE NEW BIRTH.

He explains the truth about Salvation

and being BORN AGAIN. :turn-l:

Hagin's books are very good, but not always in agreement with Dake or others.

I do not think that Hagin would agree that "Salvation is for the obedient. Not the disobedient." Perhaps, I am misremembering what he taught?

Agreed. There were areas of disagreement. I don't recall what Hagin taught on this subject. This always fringes on OSAS because obedience keeps you saved whereas OSAS is you get saved and that is that forever.

Spiritblade Disciple,
re: "Salvation is for the obedient. Not the disobedient."

The trick of course is determining what needs to be obeyed and what doesn't.

I agree, yet I know there are so many different views on this that it is mind boggling. I think Paul dealt with this a lot in his ministry even to the point of possibly exploding on some of his peeps  .

Well, wherever Hagin disagreed with the Bible is a good place to disagree with Hagin.

I don't know of any preachers who never erred.
