The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

If free will is the ability to make a choice without being coerced, the I don't think Deuteronomy 30:19 is an example of a lack of coercion. Just the opposite, given the promises concerning disobedience.

Defining coerce as persuade (an unwilling person) to do something by using force or threats and I am thinking that we understand that God does not force or threaten and I don't get that out of the verse. I do see persuasion without force though, yet I can definitely see how this could be viewed otherwise and I think I get what the author was referring to. I mean two choices don't give many options.

Some could say, God made us to have free will, but limited the choice between two paths that we could choose to walk. If we walk the middle between the two it does not turn out good according to revelation.

I think the idea that free will requires a lack of coercion is false.

Much of the population of the world has never heard the Word from the Lord Jesus Day to 2018.

What about these poor souls??

I would like to see your ideas on this. In a way, we could say we are forced into one of two choices. Another thing we had no control over is being born into this flesh, so there is another area that begs some questions.

Their fate is Hell, unless they are born again.
