WOW - the most incredible phone conversation!

Post by bibleman »

WOW just had the most unbelievable phone conversation! In an effort to encourage the re-opening of the government I called to give my views to my Senator Tim Scott. (Who I like very much, I think he is a good man.)

When the person answered the phone I noticed he had a foreign accent. So I asked him what country he was from. He told me Australia! Well to be honest this was very upsetting to me. After asking him a few other questions I asked if he had ever been to South Carolina. He said he had NOT! I then asked him if he being from Australia believed in America and he said yes. Then immediately after that for some reason I asked do you believe in God? He said NO. I said are you an atheist and he said YES! Now of course this got me even more upset.

I then said: What is a person from Australia doing in America representing my Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott? I said what is an Atheist from Australia doing representing Tim Scott who I know to be a Christian? Then I said what is a Australian Atheist doing working in my South Carolina Senator Tim Scott's office taking a position that I am sure many South Carolinians would love to have? And What is a person from Australia who has never even been to South Carolina doing trying to represent South Carolina in Senator Scott's office.

And I didn't ask this but have later thought... The Bible says: "The fool has said in his heart, There is no God...." Psa 14:1. So what is a fool doing representing my Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott?

And also the pledge of allegiance to our great flag and country says we are "One nation under God!" Obviously this atheist in my Senator's office does not believe in the pledge of allegiance since he does not believe in God! Nor does he believe in our money which states: "In God we Trust!"

This is very discouraging to me! I really love Tim Scott and pray for him but this should not be happening in South Carolina.

NOTE - Nothing against Australia - it could have been any country and my response would have been the same.

The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

I wonder how this happened.

I wonder how Senator Scott let this get by him??Though perhaps he said i was raised a Methodist,Baptist,Presbyterian etc.

Some cast doubt on Senator Scott's conversion.I do not.

But i know your vote of confidence in him counts.

Why would it matter if Scott said he was raised as any one of those? I must be misunderstanding what your meaning is.

I understand what you are saying.

I am trying to support Reverend Bible.

I am trying to figure what happened.

I am wondering how an atheist slipped by Senator Scott. :agrue:

Why would it matter if Scott said he was raised as any one of those? I must be misunderstanding what your meaning is.

He didn't slip by.

They support the fact that they hired an atheist.

My guess is once the news is out, his support will decline from the Christian population.

Stuff like this often can get under your skin. When one proclaims Christianity they should be walking it, no matter what. Working in the quasi gubment sector I can imagine there may have been pressure from others to hire the atheist, but who knows.

If he could have hired who he wanted and chose the atheist, that is another matter entirely and should be called out on it. I always seek out Christians if at all possible, but sometimes it is difficult to do so since you cannot ask anyone outright their religious beliefs. If you did, you would be quickly terminated.
