4. Is there anything that prevents the modern state of Israel from being wiped out and a new one forming at some point in the future?
4. Absolutely nothing but if it would happen then most Eschotology as understood today would have to trashed and rewritten.
I'm not sure that any of Dake's eschatological writings would have to be re-written if this were to happen. Maybe I've missed something?

Every current eschatological scenario is founded or based in some way on the reestablishment of Israel in 1948. If Israel was now wiped out and then later reestablished again they would have to rewrite their teachings.
You are surely not going to ignore that

"Current" eschatological scenarios may be based on the formation of the modern state of Israel in 1948, but that does not prove that they are scripturally accurate.

What scriptures prove that the modern state of Israel in 1948 is an eschatological requirement?

Of course there isn't. However numerous places in scripture we are told the there will be a gathering of Israel before the End Times.

What an interesting scenario you pose.
The re-establishment of Israel as a nation is such a widely held sign of the start of the end of all things that I had never considered it would be again wiped out.
That idea will sure make me look at the book of Revelations in a new way.

There will be a mass return of Jews to the land of Israel (Deuteronomy 30:3; Isaiah 43:6; Ezekiel 34:11-13; 36:24; 37:1-14).
The temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4; Revelation 11:1).
Israel will finally recognize Jesus as their Messiah (Zechariah 12:10). Israel will be regenerated, restored, and regathered (Jeremiah 33:8; Ezekiel 11:17; Romans 11:26).

Thank you.
I plan to look these references over this week.

There will be a mass return of Jews to the land of Israel (Deuteronomy 30:3...).
Regarding Deuteronomy 30:3...
At best, the current state of Israel might possibly be the beginning of the fulfillment of this passage. Time will tell.
