Should Christians Worship the Bible?
A friend recently asked me, "Are we to worship the Bible?
How would you answer this?
How would you answer this?
SALVATION FOR ALL
“Who would have ALL MEN to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” (1Ti. 2:4);
“Not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL come to repentance” (2 Pet. 3:9).

I would answer "No".Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:40 amA friend recently asked me, "Are we to worship the Bible?

It is an inanimate object that neither hears nor speaks.
We should be worshipping God with thanksgiving for the bible's historical records, wisdom, promises, and warnings.

We should hold it the highest esteem, revere it, honor it, cherish it, love it.... but no not worship it.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:40 amA friend recently asked me, "Are we to worship the Bible?

Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

Whats wrong with having a beer or two in moderation? Where in Scripture does it teach, "Thou shalt not drink beer?"bibleman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 3:23 pmFirst off a Christian would not be drinking beer in the first place, but as to water?Hill Top wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:09 pmIf you spill your beer, or water on it, is it a sin?bibleman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:06 pmWe should hold it the highest esteem, revere it, honor it, cherish it, love it.... but no not worship it.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:40 amA friend recently asked me, "Are we to worship the Bible?

Scripture does not say thou shalt not drink beer as you know.Ironman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 6:37 pmWhats wrong with having a beer or two in moderation? No it would not be a sin.
But it also does not say thou shalt not smoke dope, take narcotics, cuss out your neighbor or slap your best friend in the head with a bowling ball...
But we all know you should not!

Good, I am glad there isn't anything around that you would consider idolatrous if marred.bibleman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 3:23 pmFirst off a Christian would not be drinking beer in the first place, but as to water?Hill Top wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:09 pmIf you spill your beer, or water on it, is it a sin?bibleman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:06 pmWe should hold it the highest esteem, revere it, honor it, cherish it, love it.... but no not worship it.Spiritblade Disciple wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 11:40 amA friend recently asked me, "Are we to worship the Bible?

Re: Should Christians Worship the Bible? Or, DRINK BEER!?!?!?!?!
I dont do any one of those things you mentioned above, I also know I should not, and I never ever get a craving to do any of those things. I know Jesus changed a barrel of water into wine. I know Jesus said He would again drink the fruit of the wine with His disciples and us in the new kingdom. So whats wrong with having a can if LIGHT beer occasionally? How is that a sin, where in Scripture does it say this is a sin?bibleman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:04 pmScripture does not say thou shalt not drink beer as you know.Ironman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 01, 2022 6:37 pmWhats wrong with having a beer or two in moderation?
