Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?

I would love to hear your answers to these questions. 1. I know of no BIble verse that supports the idea that Adam sinned out of love for Eve. But, if he did, I believe the choice was made before the serpent was permitted to tempt Eve. 2. I believe Adam was in full rebellion before Eve was tempted ...

Re: A Different Hell for the Pre-Adamites?

Thanks. Much appreciated. Regarding the differently sized discs for the alleged two hells... That gives a new take on the phrase, "Out of the frying pan and into the fire!" https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/planet-earth-form-flat-pancake-fried-frying-pan-concept-flat-earth-theory-global-warm...

Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?

No Adam was not deceived. He clearly and directly sinned due to his love of his wife Eve. So of course Adam is responsible for his sin. BUT it is a sin that would have never happened had their not be the source of his temptation which was the devil. 1. How do we know that Adam committed this sin ou...

Who is responsible for giving into the temptation? The tempter or the temptee?
Remember, Adam was not deceived. Eve was, but Adam was not. See 1st Timothy 2:14.

A Different Hell for the Pre-Adamites?

I ran across a fascinating article on Zion, Illinois; Alexander Dowie, William Glenn Voliva, and the Flat Earth. To my surprise, there was a mention of the Pre-Adamites and a teaching concerning them under Dowie's and Voliva's leadership in Zion. For those that don't know, Dake lived in Zion, for a ...

Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?

Who else would you say is responsible for the problem? The fact that different groups think the Bible means different things... does not change the clear meaning of Scripture itself. We can't yield to the idea the the Bible means different things to different groups. If people disagree with the Bib...

Re: This Demonic Rubbish: Discerning the False Teachers from the True

That would depend on whether or not the sinner was already in "the" church ? (As opposed by being in some other church that was false.) If he came to us from the outside, we would baptize them in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. If he was already a supposed member of ou...

Re: Question: Who on this board believes they are divine?

I think the problem is the deception of the devil. I think the approval comes from what aligns with the Bible itself. I think part of it might be the deception of the devil. But, since he is not omnipotent, I don't think giving him sole credit for causing the problem is warranted. Partially, yes. B...

Their sin has cost them the ability to meet the "blameless" requirement of a true bishop or deacon. (1 Tim 3:2)
Repentance is available to them, but they have forfeited their "office".
Would this repentance require a fresh water baptism?

This Demonic Rubbish: Discerning the False Teachers from the True

I cannot find any scripture in the Bible that openly supports these doctrines. They have added to God's word in support of this demonic rubbish. The fruit will tell you if the prophet is from God. Do they still commit sin ? (Matt 7:15-17) Is this the final key? Ignore preacher/teacher that still si...
