Re: The science of sin
People in the Old Testament were in Covenant with God. David was the apple of Jehovah's eye.He had the Spirit of the Lord upon him.He was God's anointed king. Until men were enabled to kill the old man and be reborn of God's seed they could not be perfect. The Law made nobody perfect They can be no...

Re: The science of sin
NO ONE on here is saying believers should sin or engage in wrongdoing. Saying that they cannot sin is not Scriptural. You just said it, by inferring (incorrectly) that freedom from sinning is unscriptural. Believers in both testaments sinned. Some times severely.David had Uriah killed and took his w...

Re: Purpose of the law
Just as anyone gets baptized, as an outward form of obedience that shows an inward change. Show me that from the bible. As you don't believe in the importance of baptism, I guess you don't believe it is really a sign of inward change either. Why dispense with one command of Jesus Christ to enact an...

Re: Purpose of the law
If a person is in a hospital ready to die who has not been reborn and someone comes in and shares the gospel. That person according to Romans 10:9 confesses Jesus as their Lord and believes that God raised Him from the dead. That person's eternal destiny hinges on whether they can make it to the ba...

Re: Purpose of the law
A few questions I have for clarification: 1- Do you consider being re-born and born again as the same thing? Yes, I do. 2- If one is re-born what are you saying is their first birth? From their mom. 3- Based on what you wrote above, are you saying one is not re-born unless he/she is baptized with t...

Re: Purpose of the law
Some question came up to me as I was reading in Luke today. On what grounds were the disciples born again and spirit filled knowing that they did not even believe or understand that Jesus was going to die on the cross and rise again? They weren't. They didn't receive the Holy Ghost until the day of...

Re: Holidays or not?
I also agree that is is a time that some will spend 1 hour at church and think they have fulfilled their obligations to religion. This is sad indeed and does happen to untold thousands, if not millions today. These folks are not Christians...are they? My guess is that you believe all who celebrate ...

Re: Holidays or not?
The world's polluted holidays are evil, as they are from the minds of evil people. How so? In what sense do you think the holidays are evil, or is it certain holidays you consider from evil and other ok? I am curious as I believe it to be more a matter of ignorance from those that start such things...
