Re: What is "SIN"

If He wasn't perfect, He wouldn't have been raised form the dead. Yet, He was raised from the dead imperfect. He alluded to the fact that there were things He did not know until He was seated at the right hand of the Father. That indicates imperfect knowledge. Where have I claimed to be "perfect ab...

Re: Context.

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth;that every imagination of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth...

Re: Context.

You bring up some good texts and a view that is not favored by many that don't care to dig deeper into the things of God. You also make an important point here that would be worth looking into some more. From my past studies it appears that agape love is fully bound by constraints, requirements, an...

Re: What is "SIN"

I am asking about how you used the word PERFECT when you posted “ as one is perfect in his relationship with God” What do you mean by perfect. I mean: without sin and obedient to God in every matter. So, if one is "without sin and obedient to God in every matter" --- how is that different from the ...

Re: Context.

Since the context is the determining factor of the definition of a word in a given passage, is it possible that there are both conditional and unconditional uses of the term agape in scripture? You bring up some good texts and a view that is not favored by many that don't care to dig deeper into th...

Re: Context.

I will say that there are too many passage that reveal, imply, or state that God loves everyone without condition. In my view, it is just the opposite as there are too many passages that reveal, imply, or state the conditions of God's love. We see quite differently through the many different lenses...

Re: Context.

Jesus wants none to perish but wants all to come to repentance. Here are some questions for consideration. If Jesus wants none to perish, why does He destroy evil men in Revelation? Wouldn't that be against His desire? He desires judgment because He is love, correct? That would also mean He desires...
