Eternally secure and thus cannot lose their salvation

This is part of the Statement of Faith of a church in our area: Those truly redeemed by Jesus, are eternally secure and thus cannot lose their salvation. Though they may fall, through neglect or temptation, into sin, and in so doing, impair their graces and comforts, interrupt the joy of their fello...

Re: Who is E W Bullinger

A Preacher from Texas i admire a lot once told me " the truth has nothing to fear from an open investigation." Thanks for the post. I think that is a good quote. Men that are well studied should be mature enough to give you an answer and not fear good investigation. Also, they should have open mind...

Re: Jonah

How could Jesus be in the "Heart of the earth" and not be dead? His body was in the tomb from sunset Wednesday to the after sunset on Saturday Jesus was dead, Jonah wasn't. Do dead men pray? In Jonah 2:1 it is written..."Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly," This is an e...

Re: Paul

If you come up with a passage of Scripture that says they supposed wrong... I would love to see it. Be blessed. How about verse 20? "Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe." He wasn't dead at that poin...

Re: Paul

Interesting thought but I think Bullinger has nailed it down, he was dead. Sad that Luke had to record it as "supposed"... instead of making it crystal clear as he did on the crucifixion and resurrection. Sad, that in all his letters Paul never spoke of it directly. I do think Bullinger was right i...

Re: Paul

What does "as was supposed" mean here? Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Supposed ... it means that people thought Joseph was his father even though we know that was wrong. Joseph was Mary's husba...

Re: Headed to Church - where real Christians are found!

I am not trying to attack anyone. Hundreds of people in my home Church and Grace Cathedral were messed up. From past history i do not think that you believe it is possible for the Church or its leaders to mess up. But they can and do sometimes. You sent me the info on GC once. And more is being said....
