Re: Baptismal Regeneration?

Water Baptism is a direct commandment of Jesus Christ for all believers. +scuba Two questions for you: 1. Is water immersion required for salvation? 2. What happened to the people in the New Testament that were not able to get water baptized as per the "direct commandment of Jesus" as you put it?

Re: I Have None of His Writings

Agreed. Isn't it nice to know a seed can only bring forth after itself? Yes, it definitely is. If only the soil wasn't the challenge. The soil can indeed be a challenge for the proliferation of seed, but still, an apple seed will never bear peaches, and God's seed will never bear liars and thieves....

Re: Baptismal Regeneration?

It is vital to define baptismal regeneration as there are a number of baptismal items mentioned in scripture and the word baptism is often confused to always include water in places where it does not. Using water for immersion among other outward things are relevant in the Christian faith, yet are n...

Re: I Have None of His Writings

If rev. Dake's notes counter the obvious meaning of 1 John 3:9...I can pass on reading them. Do they? They don't counter the obvious meaning, however they may counter your meaning. "May" counter? They may counter your POV. How about posting them here? The reason for "may" is because I have not read...

Re: I Have None of His Writings

No, as I have none of his writings...only some videos. OK. I think you're missing out on a lot of helpful background information. However, the videos that are now online are extremely thorough for many of the subjects that are covered. If rev. Dake's notes counter the obvious meaning of 1 John 3:9....

Re: The Depth of Sin

All are free NOT to commit sin too. He freed me from committing sin, just like He said He would in John 8:32-34. Yes, agreed all are free NOT to commit sin, but Jesus did not free you from committing sin and never stopped any person from sinning - merely commanded they stop. Jesus said, "Whosoever ...

Re: The Depth of Sin

I think the scripture answers part of your question with a resounding yes, it is possible for a child of God to be deceived and be in sin as Jesus and others clearly taught, yet it is my opinion he or she will fully know it. Please explain the contradiction. If it is possible for a child of God to ...

Re: I Have None of His Writings

It is written..."Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." (1 John 3:9) Which part of that don't you believe? Have you looked at Dake's notes on 1st John 3:9? No, as I have none of his writings...only some videos. OK....
