Re: Two witnesses

Does the Dake Bible say who the two witnesses are? The Dake Bible says that the Two Witnesses will be Enoch and Elijah. Here's the note on Rev. 11:3 from Dake's Annotated Reference Bible concerning The Two Witnesses: Eighteen Facts Identifying the Two Witnesses ● 1. They are two men, not covenants,...

Re: Jeremiah Counsel vs Second Baptist Houston

The Jeremiah Counsel claim they followed Matthew 18:15-17 and since all their attempts at discussion etc. were refused, they could treat the church leadership as gentiles and pagans, which I suppose means they were no longer brethren, so they could sue. If they aren't brethren any longer, then I gu...

Re: Two witnesses

I have heard teaching that the two witnesses of Revelation are Enoch and Elijah. The reason given is they never died, but rather were translated. That's one of the reasons given, but I don't think the idea that they were translated requires them to come back and die. Enoch was translated that he sh...

Is it weird to go to a secular court to settle a dispute over church leadership?

Re: Jeremiah Counsel vs Second Baptist Houston

What does the Bible teach about how a senior pastor gets his position? Good question. Let's see what others have to say. Also, you might try asking the same question on the Dake Bible Discussion Board on Facebook. It's slightly more active than this forum. https://www.facebook.com/share/g/16zoYPcGDg/

I don't know that there are any biblical examples of a congregation voting on a new senior pastor.

Re: Gods Plan for Man -ages

Just wondering if in the Dake Bible the word World was changed to the above referenced meaning of olam areas of World? Thanks No. As far as I know, the actual biblical text of the translation has not been revised to conform to Dake's notes. It might be interesting if such a revised biblical text we...
