The recent supreme court decision legalized gay marriage within all of the states, defying the will of the people. Most of all, this decision shakes its fist in God's face and further forfeits His protection over our nation. However, does God want to see America destroyed? Is it too late to pray for repentance and revival? Find out in this teaching.

Acts 12:20 23 Further details of this are given in Revelation 19: And the beast was captured, and with

of Jesus]; and all the birds were gorged with their flesh. (Revelation 19:20 21 RSV) In Verses 9 12,
we have a description of the methods of the Man of lawlessness. The coming[literally the parousia, "the
presence"] of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs
and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because they refused to love
the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what
is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Thessalonians 2:9 12 RSV) You may be thinking that these verses do not apply to you. You are born
again and you are going to be caught up before this happens, therefore it does not concern
you. But remember that, in Verse 7, Paul says "the mystery of lawlessness is already at work." These
verses describe the way evil works in our world today; it will be made world wide in that day. But this
is the way evil is working here now. Notice five things are stated: First, its origin is Satan, at work
behind the scenes. As Paul says in Ephesians, "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against
principalities and powers and wicked spirits in high places, the rulers of the darkness of this world,"
(Ephesians 6:12 KJV). Acts 12:21 Upon a set day, etc. A day on which games, etc., were exhibited in honor
of the Roman emperor. What this refers to, we learn from Josephus. "Herod, having reigned three years
over All Judea, (he had reigned over the tetrarchy of his brother Philip four years before this), went
down to Caesarea, and there exhibited shows and games in honor of Claudius, and made vows for his health.
On the second day of these shows, he put on a garment made wholly of silver, and of a contexture most
truly wonderful, and came into the theater early in the morning; at which time the silver of his garment,
being illuminated by the first reflection of the sun's rays, shone out after a surprising manner, and
was so resplendent as to spread a horror over those who looked intently upon him; and
presently his flatterers cried out, one from one place, and another from another, 'He is a god:' and
they added, 'Be thou merciful to us, for although we have hitherto reverenced thee only as a man, yet
shall we henceforth own thee as superior to mortal nature.' Nor did the king rebuke them, nor reject
their impious flattery. But, looking up, he saw an owl on a certain rope over his head, and immediately
conceived that this bird was to him a messenger of ill tidings; and he fell into the deepest sorrow;
a severe pain also arose in his bowels, and he died after five days' severe illness." This is the sum
of the account given by Josephus, Ant. lib. xix. cap. 8, sect. 2. (See Whiston's edition.)
Notwithstanding the embellishments of the Jewish historian, it agrees in the main surprisingly with the
account given here by St. Luke. Josephus, it is true, suppresses some circumstances which would have
been dishonorable to this impious king; and, according to his manner, puts a speech in Herod's mouth,
when he found himself struck with death, expressive of much humility and contrition. But this speech
is of no authority. When Josephus takes up and pursues the thread of mere historical narration, he may
be safely trusted; but whenever he begins to embellish, or put speeches in the mouths of his actors,
he is no longer to be credited. He even here transforms an angel of the Lord into an owl, and introduces
it most improbably into his narration; as if an owl, a bird of all others that can least bear the light,
should come and perch on the pavilion of the king, when the sun was shining with the most resplendent
rays! Acts 12:23 The angel of the Lord smote him His death was most evidently a judgment
from God. Because he gave not God the glory He did not rebuke his flatterers, but permitted them to give
him that honor that was due to God alone. See on Act 12:21 (note). And was eaten of worms Whether this
was the morbus pedicularis, or whether a violent inflammation of his bowels, terminating in putrefaction,
did not actually produce worms, which, for several days, swarmed in his infected entrails, we cannot
tell. It is most likely that this latter was the case; and this is at once more agreeable to the letter
of the text, and to the circumstances of the case as related by Josephus. And gave up the ghost

spring, as exactly resembling themselves as they do each other. Our Lord quotes these words, Matthew
19:5, with some variation from this text: They Twain shall be one flesh. So in Mark 10:8. St. Paul quotes
in the same way, 1 Corinthians 6:16, and in Ephesians 5:31. The Vulgate Latin, the
Septuagint, the Syriac, the Arabic, and the Samaritan, all read the word Two. That this is the genuine
reading I have no doubt. The word שניהם sheneyhem, they two or both of them

I don't understand why we are shocked that unbelievers are acting like unbelievers. They are "without hope and without God" so what should we expect? Paul never called on his pagan audiences to start acting like Christians who believe the Bible. He called on them to repent and turn to Christ. If we spent half as much time and money and effort on evangelism as we do on political posturing and supporting candidates who have no shot at actually winning anything we'd be way better off. You can't win spiritual battles using the world's weapons. "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Cor 10). It's not about politics and never was; it's a spiritual issue. Apart from Holy Spirit regeneration and cleansing, there is no solution. And it's hypocritical for Christians to single out gay marriage while turning a blind eye to their own kids having premarital sex and shacking up together without even wanting to get married.

I'm not sure what the value is of providing us with 30-yr. old statistics, but I wonder if anyone has been tracking the current alarming disgrace of evangelical leaders who have had to resign due to marital unfaithfulness? Or if anyone keeps stats on how many "Christian" young people IN OUR CHURCHES are involved in premarital sex? Or how many "Christian" men and women regularly watch porn? Or how many "Christian" marriages are in reality 2 people living under the same roof who really don't get along and live separate lives as though they were tenants in the same building?

Stats don't prove anything we don't already know if we are believers: the world is lost in sin. ONE of those sins is homosexuality. But the sin of this world, in all its forms, is going to dominate as we get closer to the time of Christ's return. It should come as no surprise if we know our Bibles.

There has always been sin and there has always been fallen preachers. They were present in Israel before and after Christ came. While the church needs to clean up its house for sure we are not to ignore the ills that are destroying society. For GOd's people to remain silent in the face of sin being legalized is to fail to warn society of the automatic judgment that such sin brings. God will hold us accountable for our failure to warn and rebuke. I do not believe that the church is to remain silent in the face of a nation's self-destruction.

The statistics being 30 years old, then the increase of unnatural affections would be worse today.
It is not a surprise, but it does show us a definate sign of the age we live in.
However, as so many churches have adopted homosexuality even ordination that
affect all our lives, especially those with children. The greater freedom specific groups
are granted, it subtracts from the overall well being of the world our children must
become. I know of a disco, where homosexuals with AIDs take a syringe and extract
blood from their veins and when others are dancing they inject people dancing
without their knowledge, thus spreading AIDs. Too, medical premiums as unnatural
sex becomes wide spread will soar upwards.
It would be better to have newer data, but the data provided does give
reliable information, that as homosexuality increases the newer results
must be greater. I recently learned my old Lutheran denomination I grew up
in had become one of the homosexual churches. Thus I had already called
and had my name removed from the inactive membership of which years
ago my daughter and I attended church and the minister was making
fun of God and prophesy and my daughter told me at 14 years old that
"Dad, this isn't right" and we got up and left. Ironically all the other members
stayed and I do not see the value of their membership. It is for me, better
to withdraw from what is Satanic than change my believes in God and the bible.
Most people it seems have drifted from the word of God and as scripture
tell us in Luke 23 as well as many other scriptures, people will fall away
in these days and those saved will be just a "few". So, it is that God
saw the very reason he created Adam and Eve that is was the nature
of man to be man pleasers and thus the purpose of earth is accomplished
that in the eternal life, only a few that have overcome, that have frequently
called on the name of the Lord shall be taken. So, as you all say, it is no surprise
that most people choose the lake of fire and being popular versus obeying
the Spirt of God.

The greater point may be how can we influence such a society to awake unto righteousness and sin not? Seed falls on poisonous soil now that is full of deceit and darkness. As a saint my identity with Christ makes all the difference for me, yet my heart is sad at the "state" of many today. Would Paul say, "Shake off the dust?"
