Trust in the medicine!
Please help me to find scripture reference of this command because I can only find "Trust in the Lord" all around the bible.

Or "Is anyone sick among you? Call the doc and eat the crappy medicine and you'll get well".

This is sick, I though this is Dake Bible Board not "somebody's own worldy opinion forum".
Don't get excited and start judging people. Yes this is the Dake board and people from all walks of life and on different levels of the full understanding of God and His Word come here and express their thoughts and beliefs. This does not mean they are expressing their own private personal or worldly opinions, and they don't make out that they have all the answers!

Are you some Bible expert, knowing the Word faultlessly on every doctrine?

After working several 12 hour night shifts in a row over a long period of time, operating machinery that if one mistake was made one would kill someone in an instant, I often ended the shifts with a massive head ache, and then had to drive home for an hour on a busy highway driving into a rising sun! All the healing prayers to God in the world would not and did no good.

WHY? because God knew that my head ache's were caused by me repeatedly working excessive hours during the night under great stress, and in so doing I was breaking all God's rules of good health by expecting my body to take such punishment.
What recourse did I have. I saw my Doctor and he prescribed medication that I took when necessary which took away my head pain. Now these meds never removed the cause, only I could do that by no longer working 12 hour night shifts. The meds my doctor gave me only treated and removed the physical pain.

Mr S Weir Mitchell, one of the greatest physicians that ever lived, said, "Back of each disease there is a cause no drug can reach." Drugs deaden pain, drugs kill germs and drugs counteract certain poisons in the body. Drugs also are used as antidotes, but that is the extent of their power, but they never heal. All actual physical and spiritual healing is done by God. Christ atoned on the cross for sin, sickness and disease, and God is willing to heal as He is to forgive sins.

My father had polio and spent most of his time in the lung chamber as a boy.

This was in the 1950's. I am glad somebody invented the polio vaccine.

Everyone has a difference of opinion on medicine and prayer.

I believe in both medicine and prayer.

my cousin is crippled.she has been since a young baby.she is a Christian.she uses crutches.

she went to a Charismatic Church and they treated her poorly for not being healed.

here i saw a girl crippled and the Preacher blamed her for her being disabled.

i think this kind of behavior is beyond detestable.and i cant say on here what i think should be done to people .....that is people famous or unknown and all who foster those vile sickening attitudes towards those handicapped or those dear souls with a disability.

There are no doubt many beliefs when it comes to healing and a most sensitive subject, but one must ask who is to blame when one doesn't get healed? Is that God's fault or man's?

Not once in my life could I blame God out of a clear conscience that He was the reason I did not get healed from something. It is always on man and never on God. God has already gave us all that we need to live free from sin and sickness in Christ Jesus.

Remember when Jesus could do no mighty miracles? What was the cause of it? Did God prohibit Him or was the cause man? It saddens the heart when men blame God and say God chose not to heal them for what they have allowed the devil to do. I tire of hearing things like, "God wanted me this way" or "God said no" and such nonsense as that.

Certainly there are cases that don't follow an easy to define pattern and are questionable as to why they are not healed. I do think we will find one day that we had all the power in our hands to be free from such things as sickness and just did not know the exact way to exercise it.

There are many people out there who think they have all the answer's on every doctrine? God has healed me and my family members many times and we visit our family doctor, specialists, and take med's when necessary. The doctors take care of our symptoms, manage our pain, and God heals us!

Those who think they know it all are like those who fall off a ship, refuse to be rescued because they have prayed to God to save them and eventually drown. In Heaven they ask God, "Why didn't you rescue me God?" and God will reply, "Well I sent you a life boat and you refused to get in!" :lol!:

Just recently I have had a serious and painfull physical problem that lasted for many weeks. I prayed for healing and I thanked God every day for healing me despite the sever pain which continued, lasted for weeks, and all the while taking prescribed by my 'Doctor' pain medicin for relief so that I could function, as the pain was excruciating. I never doubted God would heal me the entire time. A few days ago I woke from a fitfull sleep and the pain was gone, the problem healed! Praise God for ever more!

Go hunting and accidently deeply cut your arm watching the blood spurt out of your vein! What would you do, fall down on your knees and bleed out while praying, or stem the blood flow and bandage the wound and visit a doctor asap and have the wound stitched up, then watch God heal the wound!
