The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

His attitude is what bothers me more than the content!

He is so "in your face" - don't see much humility there!

He is an interesting dude for sure. I really did not see enough of his sermons to see if he says that Jesus rose from the dead or anything. In what I watched I did not hear much of God's word spoken at all. One thing is for sure, Steven "Mr. Money" Furtick is quite the character and is living large off the backs of many people.

With this stated, I don't believe it is wrong to have money or even plenty of money, however what I do believe is that it is wrong to not use moderation in such things. I think it would way heavy on one's conscience to be loaded with cash while a brother is destitute of a roof over his head. To carry on the way these men do boggles the mind.

Elevation church's board is made up of a select group of pastors from other mega churches and each are living large with mufti-million dollar homes and such. Why was the need to put those expensive homes in separate trust? Those homes cannot be touched if everything falls apart. The trust supposedly protects them, however this is not always the case.

They use motivational speech appealing to their member's emotions. I was amazed to see that the weekly "take" at Furtick's Elevation church was over 500,000 dollars according to the report. Furtick even receives an annual real estate expense budget of a quarter of a million dollars.

When we search the scriptures we cannot see where Paul, Stephen, Peter, James, Jesus or anyone that preached the gospel chose to live this huge. There is more to this than meets the eye and I am sure as we see as with other groups like this the path is not usually a good one. Jim and Tammy Baker come to mind? Paul and Jan Crouch? Anyone remember the Baker's elaborate air condition dog house?
