The fault in Bible complications is not with God or the Bible, but with men who refuse to believe what God says and think we have to interpret what He says in order to get the meaning. Dake Bible -Mark 11:17 note

Well, most of the liberal posters on this board fit the category of non-believers TL was talking about.
Those who do NOT believe that you can stand on the SURE WORD OF GOD. (That God just might change it in your case!)
Those who have no absolutes about God's Word.
Those who point out so many sides to a discussion that they end up NOT being able to take a side themselves.
And if they ever do then it is a side of unbelief.

It is interesting that the people TL was talking about are still with us today!

I can readily imagine that if you let Osborn define what you believe instead of the truth of God found in the WHOLE Bible and not just in a few favorite verses you will view some that post on the forum as not believing what you you think is gospel.

The minute I believe in God because I believe it will give me great power is the day I have sealed my doom.

I understand what you are saying Pastor Bible.
i have noticed disagreement on the Board over the years on some doctrines.it seems they repeat themselves.
Lester Sumrall called some things "pertinent truths."
and this is NO slam on this board.
You are really beyond fair with members.
And will let people voice their different views.

THE QUESTION IVE HEARD STATED BY GOOD PEOPLE FOR YEARS IS

CAN WE UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE ALIKE????IS IT POSSIBLE???IS IT EVEN THE LORDS WILL???

HOW CAN WE SEE THINGS ALIKE???

Funny while many of you have tried to make Dake and Word of Faither I never viewed Dake that way.

In fact if I really believed that Dake agreed with the metaphysical philosophy of the Word of Faith movement I would have never come to this forum.

So these statements that Dake was just like some others baffles me. I see two very different and distinct teachings.

I really believe many are basing their opinion not on what Dake "really" said but what they "think" he said that fits into the theology they hold.

Perhaps that is why I run into so much friction on this forum.

There are many things Dake clearly teaches in his notes, very clear things he taught, clearly showing exactly what and how he believed when it came to faith, what it is, and how to use it, that Ed, for some reason, continues to constantly ignore, or say that is not what Dake meant.
