A wonderful man of God goes home to be with the Lord!

Post by bibleman »

I was sadden to learn that TL Osborn went home to be with the Lord on Valentines day last week, 2/14/2013. He was 89 years old.

The first book I ever read in my life (all the way through) was his book Healing the Sick and Casting out Devils. It truly changed my life and taught me that God loved me and wanted me well! Since way back in 1975 when I read that book a lot has happened in my live and a lot of it I owe to TL. He truly shaped my life with his positive faith message that God loved everybody and wanted the best for mankind.

Congratulations TL - you have made it through to your reward. If I could ever do 1% of what you did in life I would consider my life well lived.

I will miss him.

Maybe i am out of line here with what i am about to say,,, delete it if it is Leon..

Why do people get so upset when someone dies????? especially christians?

As Paul wrote: But i would not have you ignorant, brethern, concerning them which are dead, That you sorrow NOT, even as others which have no hope.

Death for the christian is nothing but a step into heaven and the presence of God,

The problem as i see it is that the christian has not considered themself dead in Christ and alive to God, they have not crucified their flesh and have no idea how to walk in the spirit...

If they did, death would hold no fear or mystery and would be welcomed as it was with Paul Phil. 1:23;

I believe its party time at the Osborns who know God so well..

Yes it is party time for sure.

But tomorrow when you go into the room and they are not in their favorite chair... and you can't share breakfast with them... can't talk to them... can't take a walk with them... well just being human - you miss them and it is sad.

We are spirit and we are flesh!

The spirit rejoices and the flesh sheds a tear.

Remember - Jesus wept!

ALSO remember in TL's books and testimony he tells of how he wept when Wigglesworth and Price died. That was one of the things that made him so determined to (replace them if you will) with his own life and ministry.

A wise man once said we pray saints out of heaven and fail to pray sinners in. I think he was saying we were screwed up.
Heaven is the prize we run after but as we approach it many in the church get all squimish.

I think the biggest issue most of the time is that we don't want to give up the ones we love. My Dad was so ready to go home to glory, and he faced his own death with rejoicing and complete confidence in his eternal home. I just didn't want to lose him. I know that he is, along with my Mom and brother, enjoying heaven, but I still miss their presence in my life. I am saddened by not having them here with me, yet I rejoice that they are in such a wonderful place. God Bless.

Real love is when you desire the best for the one you love no matter how much it hurts you
I haven't lost any loved ones I know exactly where they are in heaven waiting for me to join them there. In fact if people pray in heaven my guess is they are praying I will come home soon.
