Got kids?

Parents, you are the covering for your children. You can Google "registered sex offenders in (your home town and state here)". A list should come up and you will be able to find out not only how many sex offenders are in your town, but their address in relation to your own home. I'm just sayin'.

Pray a hedge of protection around your children. Do it now. Include it in your prayers every time you pray.
No need to base your prayer on fear, however. Instead base it on being informed.

I have checked the list for my town (and I live in a very small town), and I found that there are at least 8 or 9 registered sex offenders living withing an 8-mile radius of my home. Scary, to say the least. And just another clear sign of the depravation, perversion, and wickedness that our society is sinking into.

I would shudder to think how many live in a town the size of Chicago, L.A. or New York.
Parents, pray protection over your kids!

i was watching a doc last night and they said there are approx 700,000 sex offenders in the U.S. Shocking to me.

This is a serious and growing problem. However many of these sex offender programs are confusing the issue. In our effort to protect innocent children we may have fallen into the ditch.

For instance in many cases a 17 year old that has a girl friend that is 15 and has sex with her is classified the same as a 38 year old that stakes 10 year old girls.

Using the same example a 17 year old that smacks his 15 year old girl friend across the face and is arrested is often viewed as being the same as a 38 year that tortured his step daughter which is classified the same as a parent that paddled their child and someone decided it was excesssive.

I was visiting a half way house and ran into a young fella I knew when he was a preteen. He was now 18, his charge was he had a girlfriend that was under age and her parents had him arrestted as a sexual predator. The girls only choice was to agree with the charges or be thrown out of the house she was 15 and had absolutely nowhere to go. I talked to her, to her parents, and to the boys parents and everyone knew it was trumped up but the parents in their attempt to "protect" their daughter refused to tell the truth.

In another case a young man I knew for a long time was baby sitting for a friend the baby was later diagnoised with shaken baby syndrome and he was charged. Under intense questioning he admitted he had shaken the baby but only as he had seen the mother do previously many times before. The real kicker in the case was the fact that the baby was in ER the day before with the very same symtomns but since it wasn't diagnosised at that time as shaken baby those medical records were sealed. The judge talked to they young man because I believe the Judge realized the baby has shaken baby long before this young man ever touched her. In the Judges questioning it was obvious the young man was trying to help the police and instead of being helpful end up incriminating himself. The Judge read the riot act to prosecutor and the mother but had not choice than to punish the young man. Today 15 years later this man is listed on the same list that comes up when you search on sex offenders.
He was not allowed to be around children for a number of years, and for 3 years couldn't even go to church. Today he is married has 2 really terrific kids but his name is still on the list.

I know many more stories, some I'm sure aren't exactly as they were told to me but I believe many are.

The christian family and faith in the promises of God and steadfast resolution in our fight of faith where our children are concerned are their shield.
