I have a gen. leather standard. I used it to preach with this last Sunday at a nursing home service, it was dimly lit, and lost my place turning from John 4 to Isaiah 55. I am used to my Cambridge KJV 10 pt type. But I know I will get used to it. Also, I have found that many people have an opinion on Dake. When people find out I have a Dake Bible, they share with me that they either really love his notes, or really hate them. Hey Dake was not lukewarm or cold but on fire, so I guess peoples opinions of his notes will either be cold or fire! Also I find that to use his notes along with the old Scofield notes, and Ryrie's as well really help. One thing that I do not agree with is Dakes note on the Secound Coming of our Saviour as being the "thief in the night", that saying is reffering to the rapture of the church.
Hey Nate,
Above you said:
"One thing that I do not agree with is Dakes note on the Second Coming of our Saviour as being the "thief in the night", that saying is referring to the rapture of the church."Interesting.
Would you happen to have a passage of Scripture that would refer to the "Rapture of the Church" as being compared to a thief in the night?
